Symptoms
On HP-UX Itanium, the following error is in the alert.log after installing both Oracle 10.2.0.4 and 11.2.0.2.
ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [__lwp_kill()+48] [SIGIOT] [unknown code] [0x0000049E6] [] []
The database will not start.
