Symptoms
You found the following error in your alert log.:
ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [kdblcdelrows()+208] [SIGSEGV][ADDR:0xFFFFFFFF7847AA68] [PC:0x101EDB230] [Address not mapped to object] []
You may see some or all of the following function codes in the stack trace portion of the trace file:
If you search the trace file for the word "compress" you will likely find it in either the "SQL statement" section or under one of the cursors.
Changes
This can be triggered by creating a partitioned table with the compress clause or by running INSERT against compressed table.
