RDBPROD: CDO Protection issue after CONVERT from DMU (Doc ID 744536.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 02, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle CDD/Repository - Version 7.0 and later
HP OpenVMS Alpha
HP OpenVMS Itanium

Symptoms

CDO records created by a CDO CONVERT from DMU format do not allow access by non-privileged users. The ACL on the record is set to allow access.

CDO> show protection for record cdd$compatibility.dev.test_log

Directory SYS$COMMON:[CDDPLUS]DEV

TEST_LOG(4)
(IDENTIFIER=[DEVEL,USER1],ACCESS=READ+WRITE+MODIFY+SHOW+CHANGE+DELETE+CONTROL)
(IDENTIFIER=[*,*],ACCESS=READ+WRITE+MODIFY+ERASE+SHOW+OPERATOR+ADMINISTRATOR)
CDO>

CDO> show record cdd$compatibility.dev.test_log
%CDO-E-ERRSHOW, error displaying an object
-CDD-E-NOREAD, no privilege to read *name is unknown*

Changes

A previous version of the record had been CONVERTed in the past, and fields ENTERed from that record into the CDO directory.
