"skgif_ifconfig failed X$KSXPIF is disabled" from instance's ping process

Seeing trace files for the ASM instance's ping process, after ASM instance starts and while mounting diskgroups:

Errors in file /u01/app/oracle/diag/asm/+asm/+ASM1/trace/+ASM1_ping_3010.trc:
Errors in file /u01/app/oracle/diag/asm/+asm/+ASM1/trace/+ASM1_ping_14690.trc:
Errors in file /u01/app/oracle/diag/asm/+asm/+ASM1/trace/+ASM1_ping_28992.trc:

This can also happen for the database instance's ping process.

The ASM's ping process trace shows:
