ORA-7445 [evaopn2()] From Query Using Functional Index (Doc ID 749204.1)

Symptoms

When running a query on a table having a functional index and using linguistic sorts (nls_sort='BINARY_CI' and nls_comp='LINGUISTIC'), it may core dump in evaopn2():

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [evaopn2()+228] [SIGSEGV] [Address not mapped to object] [0x000000000] [] []

The call stack looks similar to:

... evaopn2 evareo evaior qertbFetchByRowID ...

The query has a functional inlist ie. a list of OR'ed conditions like:
