Symptoms
You encounter this error:
ORA-19802 error: "cannot use DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST without DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST_SIZE."
Changes
You may see this while trying to start a DB, especially if it is a new DB or if there have been recent changes.
You may be unable to see the current setting for DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST and DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST_SIZE due to ORA-01034 error: "ORACLE not available"
