This problem can occur on any platform.

When doing a SELECT that involves many ANSI JOINs the followings error can appear:

1. On  Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 (64-bit AMD64 and Intel EM64T):

ORA-7445: exception encountered: core dump [qcsfclscm()+113] [ACCESS_VIOLATION] [ADDR:0x0] [PC:0x781BC73] [UNABLE_TO_READ] []

2. On Solaris Sparc 64:

ORA-7445: exception encountered: core dump [qcscif()+2232] [SIGSEGV] [ADDR:0x0] [PC:0x105E3F378] [Address not mapped to object] []

The call stack reported in the trace file is similar in both cases. It contains the following functions:

qcsfclscm <- qcscif <- qcsrctq <- qcssrc <- qcsrcr  <- qcsrnr <- qcsridn <- qcsraic <- qcspqbDescendents <- qcspqb
