Last updated on JANUARY 31, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Database Cloud Schema Service - Version N/A and later
Gen 1 Exadata Cloud at Customer (Oracle Exadata Database Cloud Machine) - Version N/A and later
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - Database Service - Version N/A and later
Oracle Database Cloud Exadata Service - Version N/A and later
Oracle Database Backup Service - Version N/A and later
HP-UX Itanium

Symptoms

Intermittently PROCESSED messages are not being removed from queue tables.

Attaching to the qmon processes via oradebug and generating an errorstack causes the PROCESSED messages to be removed. Stack trace generated matches that in <Note:580273.1>.

Additionally issuing

alter system set aq_tm_processes=0 scope=memory;

and

alter system set aq_tm_processes=1 scope=memory;

restarts the qmon worker process and temporarily works around the issue.

The problem is only observed on the HP-UX Itanium port.
