Alert Log Shows 'AUTO SGA: Disabling background sga auto-tuning' During Database Startup (Doc ID 758994.1)

This problem can occur on any platform.


o  Alert log shows following Auto SGA messages during database startup:

AUTO SGA: Could not access shared pool advice.
AUTO SGA: Disabling background sga auto-tuning.

o Parameter sga_target is set to greater than zero (Automatic Memory Management is enabled).

o Querying v$shared_pool_advice returns no rows.
