Attempts to install the 10.2.0.4 Oracle patchset on hp OpenVMS Itanium fail shortly after invoking runInstaller.com. The errors reference java HotSpot. The failure happens after you enter the scratch
path and before any graphical OUI windows are displayed.

Java aborts and creates an JAVA$JAVA.DMP file in the scratch area specified for runInstaller.com.
Analysis of the JAVA$JAVA.DMP file shows that the JAVA$HOTSPOT_SHR object
is involved.
