Attempts to install the Oracle patchset on hp OpenVMS Itanium fail shortly after invoking The errors reference java HotSpot. The failure happens after you enter the scratch
path and before any graphical OUI windows are displayed.

Java aborts and creates an JAVA$JAVA.DMP file in the scratch area specified for
Analysis of the JAVA$JAVA.DMP file shows that the JAVA$HOTSPOT_SHR object
is involved.
