XDB Install Core Dumps with ORA-7445: kgghash (Doc ID 760611.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading the database from 10.2.0.4 to 11.1.0.7, an attempt to install Oracle XML Database
fails with the following errors:

ORA-31001: Invalid resource handle or path name
ORA-20001: disable_hierarchy_internal
ORA-31114: XDB configuration has been deleted or is corrupted
ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [kgghash()+544] [SIGSEGV] [ADDR:0xD]
[PC:0x105DDC220] [Address not mapped to object] []


Changes

This database did NOT have java or XDB loaded prior to the upgrade.
