Symptoms

The following errors are reported in the alert log :

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [kmp_srv_get_cond()+80] [SIGSEGV] 

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [kmp_cmon_handoff()+55] [SIGSEGV]
[A DDR:0x0] [PC:0x490F781] [Address not mapped to object] [] 

Many core dumps may be generated.

A hang at the application level with connections to the database could also occur.

Changes

Using Database Resident Connection Pooling (DRCP) with high number of connections.
