Conflict resolution using Apply handler is no longer available after using DBMS_REDEFINITION on Streams table at source site. (Doc ID 781081.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After online table redefinition using DBMS_REDEFINITION on Streams table on source site, Apply handlers is not getting repointed to the Intermediate table (which is the new original table) after redefinition is complete.

On the table STREAMS_TEST_TABLE there is a conflict resolution (method OVERWRITE).
So we can see in DBA_APPLY_CONFLICT_COLUMNS that the query shows:

SQL> select object_name,method_name from dba_apply_conflict_columns where
object_name like '%STREAMS_TEST%';

STREAMS_TEST_TABLE | OVERWRITE

After the redefinition the conflict resolution shows:

SQL> select object_name,method_name from dba_apply_conflict_columns where
object_name like '%STREAMS_TEST%';

STREAMS_TEST_TABLE_INT | OVERWRITE
