Goal
As of version 11.1.0.6.20, the Oracle Data Provider for .NET (ODP.NET) supports XCOPY deployment.
Developers frequently want to know the minimum Oracle files/setup needed in order support an application that uses ODP.NET in order to deploy the files with their application, rather than using standard XCOPY deployment via the ODAC bundle which requires running scripts that perform modifications to the machine.config and registry so that ODP.NET can be used globally on the machine..
The goal of this note is to outline the minimum files needed to run an ODP.NET application for an "unzip" type of deployment.
