DBV Fails With ORA-600 [17183] on an ASM Datafile (Doc ID 785130.1)

Symptoms

While attempting to run the DBV utility against an ASM file it fails with an ORA-600 [17183] error:

DBV is running fine for other data files.


Even after copying the file to the filesystem, DBV will core dump and fail.

$ dbv file=<FILE PATH>/DATAFILE/<SID>_data01.dbf
