ORA-07445 [kghsrch] Associated With Session Kills (Doc ID 787914.1)

Symptoms

After killing of application sessions, the RDBMS started to generate ORA-07445 errors and
then terminated both ASM and database instances. The alert log shows:

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [kghsrch()+64] [SIGSEGV] [Address not mapped to
object] [0xFFFFFFFFFFF0] [] []
ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [kgscDump()+232] [SIGSEGV] [Address not mapped to object] [0x000000010] [] []
ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [kghsrch()+64] [SIGSEGV] [Address not mapped to
object] [0xFFFFFFFFFFF0] [] []

The call stack from the trace file will be similar to the following:

kghsrch <- kghfnd <- kghalo <- ksp_param_handle_alloc <- kspcrec <- loc <- ksucre <- kxfpqidqr <- kxfprdp <- opirip <- opidrv <- sou2o <- opimai_real <- main
