CDC Change Table with more than 128 Columns Fails with ORA-1438 (Doc ID 788425.1)

Symptoms

When running Change Data Capture (CDC) with AUTOLOG or HOTLOG mode with change tables with greater than 128 columns, it is possible to get an ORA-01438 error: "value larger than specified precision allows for this column".
