DataPump Import (IMPDP) Seems To Hang On Processing Object Type SCHEMA_EXPORT/TABLE/TABLE_DATA (Doc ID 789700.1)

Symptoms

When using non-default NLS parameters for the DataPump process, the import is extremely slow and seems to hang.
The DataPump import log file shows the hang on the following:

Completed 1 PROCACT_SCHEMA objects in 0 seconds
Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/DB_LINK
Completed 3 DB_LINK objects in 0 seconds
Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/SEQUENCE/SEQUENCE
Completed 9 SEQUENCE objects in 1 seconds
Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/TABLE/TABLE
Completed 292 TABLE objects in 14 seconds
Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/TABLE/TABLE_DATA       <== Here

The above are just examples and other settings may also cause the problem. The issue does not reproduce if NLS parameters are not set.
