Symptoms

On 10.2 , similar error messages are reported in the alert.log:

Process J000 died, see its trace file

kkjcre1p: unable to spawn jobq slave process

Errors in file d:\oracle\product\10.2.0\admin\orcl\bdump\orcl_cjq0_9516.trc:

ksvcreate: Process(m000) creation failed

Investigating the generated trace file, we find no more information reported rather than the following:

*** SERVICE NAME:(SYS$BACKGROUND) 2009-02-25 14:24:40.162
*** SESSION ID:(162.1) 2009-02-25 14:24:40.162
*** 2009-02-25 14:24:40.162
Process J000 is dead (pid=11564, state=3):

Also, found that :

- pga_aggregate_target is set to a numeric value

and

- pre_page_sga is set to false
