Symptoms

On 10.2.0.3, when attempting to create a procedure via SQL*Plus session, the following error gets generated in both the alert.log and trace files:

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [kgidmp()+511] [SIGSEGV] [unknown code] [0x000000000]
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [17101], [0x000000000], [], [], [], [], [], []
ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [pfrtra()+81] [SIGSEGV] [Address not mapped to object]
ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [_wordcopy_bwd_aligned()+68] [SIGSEGV] [Invalid
permissions for mapped object] [0x2A97B76FF8]
ksedmp: obtaining current SQL failed earlier. not retrying
