Last updated on FEBRUARY 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition - Version: 9.0.1.0 to 9.2.0.8

Symptoms

1.  A Transportable Tablespace (TTS) export failed with the error "ORA-29341: The transportable set is not self-contained."

2.  The reason was found by running this command:

EXEC DBMS_TTS.TRANSPORT_SET_CHECK('<new tablespace name>',TRUE);
SELECT * FROM TRANSPORT_SET_VIOLATIONS;

3.  The result was "<table_name> Master table used for snapshots/replication not allowed in pluggable set."

4.  The table was newly created and not associated with any materialized view; it also was not partitioned.
