Symptoms

Installing CRS.

ssh equivalency was successfully configured, and ssh tests were successfully passed to/from the short hostname on each node, eg:

$ ssh <HOSTNAME1> date
Fri May 1 11:30:47 UTC 2009
$ ssh <HOSTNAME2> date
Fri May 1 11:30:50 UTC 2009

However, OUI still gives a ssh connectivity error:

Caught Cluster ExceptionPRKC-1044 : Failed to check remote
command execution setup for node <HOSTNAME2>.<DOMAIN_NAME> using
shells /usr/bin/ssh and /usr/bin/rsh connect to address
