AWR reports may reveal database performance degradation showing calls from an ODBC application using the Oracle ODBC driver to DBMS_DESCRIBE.DESCRIBE_PROCEDURE when making many calls to a packaged procedure that returns a REF CURSOR.
The performance degradation started after upgrading to the 10gr2 ODBC Driver.
