The problem described here affects downloads of the following patches made prior to 9th June 2009
on IBM AIX and HPUX PA RISC platforms only:
Generic Recommended Patch Bundle #3 for 10.2.0.4 <
and
Generic Recommended Patch Bundle #4 for 10.2.0.4 <
Symptoms
The above recommended patches were built incorrectly and so do not include all of the fixed code. No new problems are introduced but not all bugs listed as fixed in the bundle are included in patches downloaded prior to 9th June 2009.
Note that all bugs are listed in the patch inventory and so it appears as if the patches are correctly installed but some of the fixed code is missing from the object files in the patches.
Changes
This problem is only present in versions of the patch downloaded prior to 9th June 2009.
