Reset iLO (LO100) network configuration using ipmitool after motherboard replacement (Doc ID 855421.1)

This document provides the steps required to configure the network interface of the iLO (LO100) card after replacing the motherboard or the iLO card itself.

After replacing the system motherboard or the iLO (LO100) card on an Exadata Storage Server (ProLiant DL180 G5), the iLO network interface is not available using the host name registered in DNS:

# ping cell01-ilo
PING cell01-ilo ( 56(84) bytes of data.
From icmp_seq=2 Destination Host Unreachable

The network configuration for the ILO is different to the one recorded on DNS or /etc/host files.
