Why Do Some of the Oracle Default Scheduler Jobs Start at 6 AM in the Morning on Weekends (Doc ID 856426.1)

This problem can occur on any platform.


Some of the Oracle default scheduler jobs, e.g. GATHER_STATS_JOB, start at 6 AM in the morning on weekends when the the WEEKEND_WINDOW starts at 12 AM.

SQL>SELECT owner, job_name, actual_start_date
    FROM dba_scheduler_job_run_details
    order by actual_start_date desc;
