Purpose
In this Document
This document is part of the Enhanced Problem Analysis (EPA) project. The intent is to provide an ODM based troubleshooting guide for approaching Tablespace problems within Oracle Support. You can consider this a how-to document with suggestions and examples vs. an actual Tablespace Trouble-shooting guide which will be more targeted by problem type.
Restated a bit differently, the purpose of this document is to instruct engineers and customers how to better diagnose Tablespace related issues / questions This is not a comprehensive list of Tablespace problems and solutions but should be considered to be a 'road map' for tablespace problems and methods to resolution.
This document will use the Oracle Diagnostic Methodology (ODM) approach and provide some detailed suggestions for the usage of each section of the process.
Instructions for the Reader
