Following error while starting 18.104.22.168 on top of grid infrastructure clusterware .
ORA-29702 [ CSSCLNT]CLSSSINIT: ERROR OBTAINING CLUSTER NAME
With Grid Infrastructure 22.214.171.124 with RAC 126.96.36.199 up and running, trying to install 188.8.131.52 RAC on the same clusterware (184.108.40.206), the installation will complete successfully, but when trying 'startup nomount' command (220.127.116.11) for database creation it will fail with ORA-29702.
The following error will be seen in the lmon trace file suggesting that the issue is related to getting the cluster name:
