RDBPROD: RdbOEM 7.2.1 - The format of the threshold values is not correct (Doc ID 950371.1)

Last updated on APRIL 18, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Rdb Server on OpenVMS - Version 7.2 to 7.2.1 [Release 7.2]
Oracle Rdb Extension for Oracle Enterprise Manager - Version 7.2.1 and later
HP OpenVMS Itanium
HP OpenVMS Alpha

Symptoms

After adding an Oracle Rdb Monitor object to OEM Server, when you want to edit threshold values for this object the following error may be reported:

The values for Critical Thresholds look like  "Not Defined".

This is not a valid keyword; the correct keyword is:  "NotDefined", without a space.

Since EM does not detect this string as a keyword, it tries to read it as a normal threshold value and fails.

Changes

OEM Agent 10.1.0.1 accepted this additional space character but OEM Agent 10.2.0.2 does not.
