SQLSetEnvAttr And SQLFreeHandle Sqlstate Errors Using Dg4odbc And Db2 Connect (Doc ID 956085.1)

Symptoms

-- Problem Statement:
You have installed  IBM DB2 Connect v9.7 and Database Gateway for ODBC (DG4ODBC) and selects from a DB2 database give an ORA-28500 error.
A DG4ODBC debug trace shows the following errors -

Entered hgopoer at 2009/10/20-17:41:14
Exiting hgopoer, rc=0 at 2009/10/20-17:41:14 with error ptr FILE:hgopoer.c LINE:128 ID:GetDiagRec error
hgoinit, line 323: calling SQLSetEnvAttr got sqlstate
Exiting hgoinit, rc=28500 at 2009/10/20-17:41:14 with error ptr FILE:hgoinit.c LINE:323 ID:Setting ODBC version to follow
Entered hgoexit at 2009/10/20-17:41:14
Entered hgopoer at 2009/10/20-17:41:14
Exiting hgopoer, rc=0 at 2009/10/20-17:41:14 with error ptr FILE:hgopoer.c LINE:128 ID:GetDiagRec error
