Symptoms

-- Problem Statement:
You have installed Oracle RDBMS and a Database Gateway on Windows Virtual Machine (VM) to connect to SQL*Server.
When trying to use the gateway you get the following error in the listener -

(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVICE_NAME=dg4odbc)(CID=(PROGRAM=)(HOST=host_name)(USER=gtw_user))) *
(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=99.999.999.999)(PORT=4143)) * establish * dg4odbc * 12518
TNS-12518: TNS:listener could not hand off client connection
TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
TNS-00530: Protocol adapter error
32-bit Windows Error: 2: No such file or directory
