Last updated on AUGUST 04, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version 11.1.0.6 to 11.1.0.7 [Release 11.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

You see invalid entries in DBA_APPLY_INSTANTIATED_OBJECTS similar to following:

select SOURCE_DATABASE, SOURCE_OBJECT_OWNER, SOURCE_OBJECT_NAME from dba_apply_instantiated_objects;

SOURCE_DATABASE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SOURCE_OBJECT_OWNER SOURCE_OBJECT_NAME
------------------------------ ------------------------------
STRM102P.US.ORACLE.COM
STRMADMIN USR1.TEST

Note that in above result SOURCE_OBJECT_OWNER is STRMADMIN and SOURCE_OBJECT_NAME is USR1.TEST which is invalid

You tried removing this invalid entry using following, but could not remove it

BEGIN
DBMS_APPLY_ADM.SET_TABLE_INSTANTIATION_SCN(
source_object_name=> 'USR1.TEST',
source_database_name=>'STRM102P.US.ORACLE.COM',
instantiation_SCN=>null);
END;
