Goal

On a system where two TimesTen data stores are autorefreshing from the same Oracle base table, high contention is seen on the UL Lock. This contention is displayed both in EM and by running an AWR report. 

The goal of this document is to answer whether this contention is anticipated and explain the reason for it.
