Goal

Question1:

Does DB administer require continued Windows Administrator role for administering DB and Application server once installed on Windows platform?


Question2:

Will the ORA_DBA role allow normal day to day DBA activities? For clarity, documenation indicates that the role would provide ability to start/stop services, create/update/delete users, backup and recovery etc.

Question3:

Can any user in the admin group  patch or update an oracle home installed by another admin group user, for both the client install and a database install?

Question4:

Can a domain user be added to the ORA_DBA group, and do startup/shutdown, connect / as sysdba etc on a windows db server?

Question5:

If a domain account is added to the local admin group on the server, can it do oracle installs/patching?

 Question6:

What other roles/groups does the user should be part of while working with ASM?
