Purpose
The procedure described on this document can be used to diagnose problems related to high memory usage reported on the storage cells, specifically by cellsrv process.
Symptoms of cellsrv process using high memory include:
* cellsrv failing with error RS-7445 CELLSRV HUNG reported in the alert.log of the storage cell.
* Reviewing OSW reports, it is observed that cellsrv process has very high values for virtual memory
* Revieiwng OSW reports, it is observed that system is running out of free memory/swap
* Reviewing OSW reports, it is observed that system is running with 0% idle of CPU
The systemstate of cellsrv will dump the current memory structures which should help to identify the cause of the high memory usage.
