(Doc ID 984532.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 12, 2010

Symptoms

When there is a cell disk failure and/or a cell node hang, the corresponding ASM disk may be dropped or the associated diskgroup maybe dismounted. Also, the compute nodes would get cell eviction notifications. At the same time, if there is an attempt to online target diskgroup, which results cell addition notifications on the compute nodes.

Then PMON process crash resulting ASM instance crash.
