Last updated on MAY 04, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle General Ledger - Version 11.5.10.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Form:GLXSTPTY.FMB - Period Types

Goal

You do not have a calendar year (that is, your year does not run from January through December).

You defined your calendar in General Ledger with a Year Type of 'Calendar' rather than 'Fiscal' as follows:

Responsibility = General Ledger Super User GUI
GUI Navigation = Setup/Financials/Calendar/Types
GUI Form Name  = GLXSTPTY (Period Types)

What are the ramifications of using the Year Type of Calendar vs. Fiscal?
