Purpose

This article was created in order to help you to solve the most common problems with the Workflow Java Mailer and Outbound processing. This article is intended to be used when notifications are not emailed. It is written for Oracle Applications Administrators and Database Administrators.

Troubleshooting Steps
 1. Make sure the user for the notification to has an email address in the workflow tables. There are 2 ways to review this:
 2. The notification preferences also determine if the notification will be emailed or not. When the notification preference is set to "Do not send me mail" then notifications are not emailed to that user.
 3. Send a test notification to make sure a simple notification is emailed.
 4. Make sure Java mailer and WF Agent Listeners are up and running:
 5. Are messages in WF_DEFERRED and WF_NOTIFICATION_OUT processed?
 6. Some times notifications with framework regions are not emailed however text notifications such as test notifications are emailed. This can happen because the mailer is not able to get the framework content for the notification from the application server.
 7. For 11i ATG Rup5 and Rup6, there is a known issue. The notifications can take up to 8 hours to be delivered. Make sure the following file versions or higher are already in the instance:
