Symptoms

The customer may be trying to use an application variable in the outbound or inbound file path specified. Examples are: 'applcsf' and 'out'.
The UTL_FILE package which was designed to allow PL/SQL procedures to read and write ASCII flat files, does not recognize Oracle Application variables at this time.
