Loginpage / Error in Browser for Export, Attachments or Self Service Function after upgrading to Sun JRE 1.6.0_18 / _19 / _20 / _21 (Doc ID 1054293.1)

Symptoms

When performing File > Export or opening a File Attachment from Forms the new Internet Explorer session starts as expected, but instead of showing dialog to Save/Open the output file it renders the login page (11.5.10) or an error message (R12.0/R12.1).

Release 11.5.10

The IE session shows AppsLocalLogin.jsp. Reviewing the parameters passed in the URL include: 

&errText=Your+session+is+no+longer+valid.+Please+login+again
  


Release 12.0/12.1

The IE session shows following error message:

fndgfm.jsp error : The current session is invalid. Unable to proceed without a valid session. 

Client PC uses Sun JRE 1.6.0_18, 1.6.0_19 or 1.6.0_20 for running Forms Applet and the browser is Internet Explorer. Using Firefox the problem is not reproduced.

Other scenarios which could give the same problem are the following. Similarity is that all start a new IE browser session from Forms

Changes

The Sun JRE 1.6.0_18-b07, 1.6.0_19-b04 or 1.6.0_20-b02 is installed on the client PC

Following steps confirm if this version is used:

- If the Java Console is enabled it starts with one of the following lines:

Java Plug-in 1.6.0_18
Using JRE version 1.6.0_18-b07 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM


Java Plug-in 1.6.0_19
Using JRE version 1.6.0_19-b04 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM

Java Plug-in 1.6.0_20
Using JRE version 1.6.0_20-b02 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM

Java Plug-in 1.6.0_21
Using JRE version 1.6.0_21-b06 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM


Java Plug-in 1.6.0_22
Using JRE version 1.6.0_22-b04 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM

- Use Start > Control Panel > Java > General - About... The dialog shows on the following versions :

Version 6 Update 18  ( build 1.6.0_18-b07)

Version 6 Update 19  ( build 1.6.0_19-b04)

Version 6 Update 20  ( build 1.6.0_20-b02)

Version 6 Update 21  ( build 1.6.0_21-b06)

Version 6 Update 22  ( build 1.6.0_22-b04)
