(Doc ID 1054293.1)
Last updated on AUGUST 03, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle E-Business Suite Technology Stack - Version 11.5.10.0 to 12.1.2 [Release 11.5 to 12.1] Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When performing File > Export or opening a File Attachment from Forms the new Internet Explorer session starts as expected, but instead of showing dialog to Save/Open the output file it renders the login page (11.5.10) or an error message (R12.0/R12.1).
Release 11.5.10
The IE session shows AppsLocalLogin.jsp. Reviewing the parameters passed in the URL include:
fndgfm.jsp error : The current session is invalid. Unable to proceed without a valid session.
Client PC uses Sun JRE 1.6.0_18, 1.6.0_19 or 1.6.0_20 for running Forms Applet and the browser is Internet Explorer. Using Firefox the problem is not reproduced.
Other scenarios which could give the same problem are the following. Similarity is that all start a new IE browser session from Forms
Selecting a Self Service (OA Framework page) function from Forms. In this case you may not see the login page, but instead the error "You have insufficient privileges for the current operation. Please contact your system Administrator."
IE window started after Forms session ran into (ICX) Session Time-out. Login window is expected here, but runs into a loop of being rendered over and over again.
Changes
The Sun JRE 1.6.0_18-b07, 1.6.0_19-b04 or 1.6.0_20-b02 is installed on the client PC
