Last updated on FEBRUARY 20, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Service Contracts - Version 12.0.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On a Service Contract, the Billing Stream dates are not calculated as expected. For example, when entering a Stream with a duration of 1 Year, the Stream Level Start Date (3-NOV-2009) and End Date (30-NOV-2010) are not 1 Year apart.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Using a Service Contracts Manager responsibility.
  2. Set the Global Contracts Defaults > Pricing/Billing fields to these values:
    • Period Type: Actual
    • Period Start: Calendar Month
    • Pricing UOM: Month
  3. Create a Service Contract with one year effectivity and go to the Billing Schedule.
  4. Remove the defaulted values in the Billing Stream and enter:
    • Duration: 1
    • Period: Year
    • The end date in the Stream is not as expected.
