How to Change Max Extents for General Ledger Interim Tables (Doc ID 1056765.6)

Last updated on AUGUST 01, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle General Ledger - Version to [Release 11.5.10]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Forms: This problem will affect GLOOAP GLPPOS GLTTRNS GLLEZL among others

You are unable to successfully complete any concurrent programs in General Ledger (GL) which use interim tables.

For example, you have run journal import.  The concurrent request completes with a status of 'Error.'  You see the following error in the request log file:

ORA-1632: Max number of extents 121 reached in index gl.gl_posting_interim

You drop and recreate the index with larger extents every time this happens.
But, this is an interim table that gets recreated every time with the default max extents of 121.

How do you change the default of max extents assigned to the GL indexes?
