GLXJEPST When Trying to Post a Journal Batch Get FRM-40501 Unable To Reserve Record For Update or Delete (Doc ID 1057986.6)

Symptoms

When trying to post a batch in General Ledger as follows:

Responsibility = General Ledger Super User GUI
GUI Navigation = Journals/Enter
GUI Form Name = GLXJEENT (Enter Journals)

1.  Query the batch to post by entering the name of the Batch in the  Find Journals Screen and clicking on the [Find] button.

2.  The batch appears on the Enter Journals Screen.  You select the batch and click on the [Review Batch] button.  You then click on the [More Actions] button and then the [Post] button. After doing this, you receive the following error:

             FRM-40501 Unable to reserve record for update or delete.
                   or
             Could not reserve records [2 tries]. keep trying
