How to Cancel / Defer a Work Order with 'Complete' or 'Closed' Status ? (Doc ID 1058682.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 29, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Complex Maintenance, Repair, & Overhaul - Version 12.0.4 to 12.1 [Release 12 to 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When trying to cancel or defer a workorder (WO) with 'Completed' or 'Closed' status the following error "Cannot delete the dependency relationship between prior object (XXXXX) and next object (&NEXT_WORKORDER) as the prior object is already completed" was raised.

But from both Discrete Jobs and Enterprise Asset manager (EAM),  WO's can be re-opened even if they are in 'Closed' status.  The same functionality does not seem to be available in CMRO.
