Generate Field Service Trips Error: 'Failed to retrieve the shifts for the resource between <startdate> 00:00 and <end date> 23:59. No Shifts found.' For 24 Hour Shifts

Symptoms

When attempting to create trips for shifts from 00:00 - 23:59, the Generate Field Service Trips concurrent program fails with the error:

Failed to retrieve the shifts for the resource between <startdate> 00:00 and <end date> 23:59. No Shifts found.
Not all the trips were processed successfully with the given action Add for the resource <resourcename> between <startdate> and <enddate>. (Success = 0; Failed = 1)

Or

Processed resource <resourcename> (Employee Resource, <resourceid>).
 Failed to create the trip for the resource  between <startdate> 00:00 and <startdate> 23:59 as there exists  trips overlapping with the given interval.

 Failed to create the trip for the resource  between <startdate+1> 00:00 and <startdate+1> 23:59 as there exists  trips overlapping with the given interval.

 Failed to create the trip for the resource  between <startdate+2> 00:00 and <startdate+2> 23:59 as there exists  trips overlapping with the given interval.



STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a shift from 00:00 - 23:59
2. Assign this shift to a calendar
3. Assign this calendar to a resource
4. Run the Generate Field Service Trips program including this resource (so that this resource should be visible in the Dispatch Center).
