Form:GLXRTPER.FMB - Period Rates
Executable:GLTTRN - Translation
Symptoms
You originally setup historical rates rather than period end rates for your asset accounts.
You would now like to permanently change the historical rates to period-end rates.
You have tried manually changing the historical rates, by deleting them from the Historical Rate form. You then defined your period-end rates as follows:
work-around as follows:
Responsibility = General Ledger Super User GUI
GUI Navigation = Setup/Currencies/Rates/Period
GUI Form Name = GLXRTPER (Period Rates)
1. Enter the Currency you want to translate to.
2. Select the Balance Type to which the period rates apply.
3. Enter the accounting Period to which the rates apply.
4. Enter the Average Rate for the accounting period.
5. Enter the Period-End Rate for your accounting period.
You don't enter a Historical rate or an amount for this particular account number when you run Translation (Navigation: Currency/Translation).
When running translation, the system keeps using the original historical rate with a Rate Type of "Prior" on the Historical Rates window
(Navigation: Setup/Currencies/Rates/Historical).
As a workaround, you navigate to the Historical Rates window and replace the prior rate with the period-end rate.
