How To Reinstate an Asset When the Reinstate Button is Grayed Out? (Doc ID 1060489.6)

Last updated on JANUARY 16, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Assets - Version 11.5.10.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Firstly, keep in mind reinstatements are only applicable to:

a.  Last retirement processed

b.  Retirements from current open year

For those those cases the reinstatement button is greyed out per intended functionality.

Else if asset does not fall into one of those cases:

1.  An asset retirement was completed.

Menu:  Asset>Asset Workbench select <Retirements> and enter:   book, retirement date, Units Retired, Retirement Type, Cost Retired, Proceeds of Sale and Cost of Removal

then select <DONE>, but do not close the form.

2.  After #1, without closing the form, it has been determined the asset should not be retired but now the Reinstate button is greyed out
