Creating an Item Instance with a Warranty from Either Order Management (OM) or Install Base (IB) Error: "OKC_CONTRACTS_UNEXP_ERROR SQLcode 100 SQLerrm ORA 01403 No Data Found" (Doc ID 1064921.1)

Symptoms

When creating an Item on the Create Item page in Install Base, or attempting to process a shipping transaction for an Install Base (IB) trackable item from Order Management (OM), the following error is encountered on the screen or in the Transactions Error Processing form:

OKC_CONTRACTS_UNEXP_ERROR or OKC_CONTRACTS_UNEXP_ERROR (SQLcode=100) (SQLerrm=ORA-01403: no data found)


Steps to Reproduce:

In both cases the Item must have a Warranty attached to it in the Bill of Materials (BOM).

1. Manually creating an item in Install Base.
   a. Create an inventory item
   b. Create a bom for this inventory item such that there are inactive warranty component lines.
   c. Create an item instance from IB pages for this item.
   d.  An error is thrown with the following error  OKC_CONTRACTS_UNEXP_ERROR

2. Shipping an Item from a Sales Order.
