Information in this document applies to any platform.
When attempting to update the owner from internal to external ownership on a part that is installed on a customer's assembly through cMRO, the following message is received:
Expect to be able to transfer ownership from internal to external for components that have been installed to an assembly via cMRO.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Install part on customer assembly via cMRO. The part ownership remains internal.
2. Navigate to the IB ownership page and attempt to update ownership to external.
