APP-FND-01934 ORA-00001 Error Occurs When Creating Items (Doc ID 1072935.1)

Symptoms

After applying INV RUP 12 <Patch 7258629>, any attempt to create an Item and save it, whether directly through the Item Master Form INVIDITM.fmb or through a template, results in the below errors.

APP-FND-01934: ORA-00001: unique constraint (ENI.ENI_OLTP_ITEM_STAR_U3) violated in Package ENI_ITEMS_STAR_PKG Procedure INSERT_ITEMS_IN_STAR

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Tools: Copy From: xxxx Template
2. Click Apply
3. Click Done
4. Enter description
5. Click Save
6. Get error message

NOTE:  This applies to customers who do not have the Daily Business Intelligence product installed and in use (non-DBI customers).  If you do have the Daily Business Intelligence product installed, please see <Note 465008.1> - APP-FND-01934 ORA-00001: Unique Constraint Error at Master Items.
